Modeling of light beam propagation in nonlinear environment

Summary Model of optical radiance and Gauss beams in quasi-optical approach is discussed. Parabolic equation of light field for linear environment and nonlinear Schrödinger equation for nonlinear environment are obtained. Numerical solution methods are studied. Intensity of light distribution in the linear and nonlinear environments is obtained. The effects of light self focusing and self-channeling are discussed.
