Problem of planar electron in magnetic field with spin-orbit interaction

quantum-mechanical problem of an electron in magnetic field is considered in the presence of spin-orbit interaction. Analytic expressions for energy eigenvalues and the corresponding wave functions are derived. Level splitting due to spin-orbit interaction is compared with Zeeman splitting.
