The Investigation of adsorption of some new chiral sulfoxide enantiomers from solution on chiral adsorbents and the thermodynamic study of the separation of enantiomers by using HPLC

Annotation:

The present study reports separation of enantiomers of selected chiral sulfoxides with very high separation factor in high-performance liquid chromatography by using chiral columns prepared based on cellulose tris(4-chloro-3-methylphenylcarbamate) as chiral selector. High separation factors were observed by using polar organic, as well as hydrocarbon-alcohol-type mobile phases. The key structural components of the solute for obtaining high chiral recognition were prevailed as well as thermodynamic quantities of analyte adsorption were determined. The experiment aimed on enantioselective extraction from the solution of racemate is also described.
